according to the list, Judy's pick is a Log Cabin block.

there are many versions of the LCB to choose from. rather than make poor Judy feel guilty, let's all go in search for free instructions for an LCB we like and share the links with each other in this thread.

the first person to make one can start the Pictures thread for it.

let the race begin!!! :lol:

:oops: Sorry Judy - wasn't my intention to make you feel bad. :oops:

There's a 12" LC on quilterscache - think I'll do that one... :D

I love the wonky log cabin site. That would be fun to make.

:( OMGosh! I am so sorry! Someone was supposed to remind me because I signed up ages ago. I don't know how to manage this, but here is a link for a paper(foundation) pieced Log Cabin block that I like:

http://quilting.about.com/od/foundat...abin_block.htm

And here is a traditional pattern with the fact that this block has been used for over 200 years:

Patrice thank you..... your 2nd choice was wonderful...very detailed explanations with many variations.....I printed it out.

I guess this means we can just do a log cabin of our choice....Right???

Thanks again...the Dad web site is great too
