I was going to order the Rotary Cutting Machine from Nancy's
Notions. It cuts 1/2 to 21/2 strips. Have anyone used this machine and what did you think of it?

I personally think it'd just be cheaper to do the regular RC, but look for reviews too!'

I have seen reviews from people who did not like it. Sounds like it is hard to get it to cut accurately, and that it is more suitable for cutting strips for rugs where accuracy is not such an issue. A lot of people seem to like the machine that folds and presses binding, though.

For cutting strips, I was very happy with my June Tailor Shape Cut (1/2" cutting slots) until I got an Accuquilt Go!

are you referring to the Mattco tool that has a rotary cutter attached to a long metal strip and you line it up with your matt grid and then you slide the blade along the metal edge?

if yes, then i have one and i like it very much. it eliminates getting that 'v' shape in long strips. also i can cut across my 36" matt, doubled or tripled. saves a lot of time and work. since i cut borders lengthwise i can get up to 108" cuts in one length, no seams. it was about $50.00 +/- and considering how much i've wasted on stuff that hasn't worked well, i call this a good investment.

Hi, I'm not familiar with the Mattco tool. I looked online and couldn't find anything. Do you have more information? And/or a picture?

As I am not near any big shopping centers I was going to order from Nancy's Notions com. This one has a foot pedal and it is called Simplicity Rotary Cutting machine. I don't think I will order it as I may not like it and it is a hassle returning things in the mail. I may get the shape cutter with the 1/2 in slots
Thanks everyone

Accuquilt Go! It is the portable version of the Studio die cutting machine. Here is a link to the website:
http://www.accuquilt.com/

There are also Youtube videos that show how it cuts, and a Yahoo! group called accucutquilters. (Go to http://groups.yahoo.com to sign up for that group.)
