So, I got a $50.00 certificate from my LQS for buying so much   . The owner had this bundle of 17 FQ's that was luscious, all teal and chocolate. She was making a woven ribbons quilt, and challenged me to make one with her. I KNEW better. I just don't do scrappy/unorganized. But, the 17 FQ Bundle and the pattern cost me just $1.96! :P :P
I knew while I was sewing the blocks that I wouldn't like the finished quilt, but I persevered. So I had all the blocks made and arranged so that no two fabrics adjoined (which was a chore, I'll tell you). While I was sewing the first row, my dear mother came in and rearranged the blocks. I was so disgusted I just started sewing blocks together at random. I really, really don't like this, but I'll use it to practice my FMQ on, so it won't be a total loss.
I did decide I liked the pattern, and made a coordinated quilt, which I'll post on another thread. The pattern is really easy, and this one went together in just a couple of hours.

I'm laughing-not at you but with you. I can't for the life of me do scrappy. I have to plan everything out and "over think" the color placement. I saw someone make blocks by pulling random fabrics out of a paper bag and sewing them together. OMG-I'd probably have a stroke if I tried that!!
I love your quilt though-it went together really well and I don't think it looks too scrappy. You did good!

You know, this world would be awfully boring if we all like the same things!! Good thing God made us all different with different likes and ideas!!!!

Ok I looked at the Peach Parfait first and then this one. I love the Peach Parfait, this one is nice also but I agree I like the more organized one. But like you that could be that this one is in darker tones and I like light and bright
Good for you to keep going
