Finally it's sinking in how to do this Deb. I know it's a really simple block and only supposed to take 10 minutes but I've been trying to figure it out for two days and NOW I understand. I even bought the book and just didn't get how it all went together. Maybe I should have gone with different color large blocks instead of all just dark green.

Thanks for the step by step tute as that seems a bit easier to follow for me. I will get around to doing one of these soon, I just know it. Perhaps after the holidays. Again, thanks! Great job!!

Great tute...nice of you to do that...I really like doing this block but have to say I like it much better with a larger square for the center...fills it in more...and I like smaller blocks in general but love the method..a fun project
Are you saying you used a larger piece in the center? How much larger if so? I think I would like that better, or at least I'd like to try it. I just finished a quilt with this block with all pieces being the same size. Very interesting!
