Default HST Tutorial from a square

OK, so you may already know this one, but this is the first time I have seen this way of making HST. She uses a large square and makes 8 HST. I have only ever seen how to make 4 with a large square!!
She gives you all the measurements you need to do it, too. Just thought some of my fellow quilting board quilters would like this!

I still prefer the wonder cut ruler for making them.

This is similar to the Eleanor Burns way of making HSTs. At a quilt show last week one of the vendors had papers that you can use to to the same thing. You get the same results, but they said it cuts down on the trimming using a ruler to square the HSTs.

That's how I make them most of the time.

Don't need to worry about stretching the bias edges because they are sewn before you cut! Thanks for sharing this method with us. I'll be using it in the future, for sure.

I have never seen this method before, thanks for the tute. I am mostly self taught when it comes to quilting. The only formal instruction I have had was a quilting class at JoAnn's in 2004. We made a quilt that I think came out well. Other than that some of my quilting friends have taught me a lot and I have purchased lots of books over the years.
