Thank you for this post and especially in the pdf format. My small quilt group members are all making log cabin quilts for our next show. We hope to illustrate the various interpretations of the pattern. I will show this to the other members who are looking for new ideas.

Wow! I'm SO glad this tute of Donna's family quilt has been such a hit for everyone!

It was a challenge to figure out at first, but then I realized it was "just another log cabin variation" and I was off and running. Can't wait to make it myself!

I do hope all of you will share your quilts at some point.
