Default Bowtie Block made by the YoYo Ladies in Paducah

I'm the daughter of one of Paducah's YoYo Ladies and this tutorial is for the bowtie block that they demonstrated at the Quilt show in Paducah a couple years ago. It was so popular that Mom asked me to make up a tutorial sheet for them to hand out this year. (they stayed so busy with teaching, they hardly got to see the show that year) She gave me permission to post the tutorial here too. I took the pictures and she wrote the text. If anyone needs a close-up of any of the images, or a different angle, let me know...I have the blocks here at the house.

Thank You so much! I will be happy to send a donation to the quilt museum on behalf of the Yo Yos.

I have made hundreds of these but always had to demo them by hands on. Thanks so much for the this. It's a great kid's sewing class too!

You're quite welcome!
I didn't mention that this was done using a 5" square, but I'm sure any size will work.

Please pardon my lack of knowledge, but this is the first time I have seen this bowtie, so can you explain (better if shown) how to sew this into a quilt. Does it stay 3D or flatten out. Thanks!

I would like to see how it looks in a quilt. Do you have a picture?
