This is the third in a series of Easter baskets I have posted. A lot of the techniques I used in this basket I used in the horse and bunny baskets.

Stitch around beak, trim, sew in place

Pleat the topknot and stitch across the bottom to hold in pleats

Attach topknot to top of head

Put head on another piece of felt and starting at one side of the chin , stitch around to the other side- remember to leave an opening so you can stuff the head!

This is how a trimmed head looks from the back

Cut out 1 set of wings on the fold

Lay opened wings on another piece of felt and stitch around (leave opening) , trim back even with the front . Stuff just to the line on pattern.

Cut out the feet, layer onto another piece of felt, stitch all the way around, trim.

Pull back of foot away from front and cut a slit in the BACK ONLY

Stuff feet lightly. When you glue them on the basket you will not see the slit.

Glue on the pieces

Yikes! forgot to stitch the wing shut, awww I'll just glue it.

Happy Hunting!
