I made these using 5" squares. First make your 4 patches using 2 lights and 2 darks. Then measure out 1 1/2" from the center seam and cut. Rotate your block and do this until all 4 sides have been cut. Then take the center little block you have just cut from each side and turn them around. Then sew your block back together. I hope everyone can understand this! Its my first tutorial.

yes 4 cuts sorry was trying to get the other pic added and had to go see what ds needed.
