This cart is excellent for that purpose. I could use one of those. Only thing is: Where would I park it?? It reminds me of the cart the school librarian would roll into our classroom. She often brought certain collections of books on a particular subject or she brought encyclopedias (that dates me. It was before computers.) for us to use.

Gail here are a couple of parking ideas. Forgive how messy my sewing room is. This has been a crazy summer.

In order to roll under it, I remove the thread from the pin and set it down then push the pin in. I didn't realize that you are seeing the underside of my favorite magnifying glass for detailed work on black especially. The blue rolling tote is from ikea and holds scrap fabric to be cut. The black thing in rear is paper shredder for documents not to be filed in the file cabinets supporting left end of table top.Basket on top of table at right holds all sorts of odds and ends. Loose bobbins/6"ruller/olfa cutters when not in use. Keeps the tiny stuff from being knocked off, burried in piles. I'm good at piles.
Second picture is under my longarm thread. The white basket hanging from the pegboard holds prewound bobbins and plastic bags that cover the thread cones when not in use. Cats love to unwind thread and I lost a cat to a piece of thread she swallowed. $500+ surgery and she still died. Broke my heart. If you have a collection of regular thread spools, you can just attach a clear piece of vinyl on the top of the peg board and use clamps at the sides near the bottom to keep off dust and keep the kitties out.

It's 5:40 am and I'm up and so excited. I have been looking for a solution to my tiny kitchen and it's missing storage for ages. It hit me and I had to get up. I'm going to make some more of these only using wider shelving and make them shorter end to end. Then I'm going to run counter top from the end of my cupboards to the corner of the kitchen a span of about 6 feet and place these under it so I have roll out storage for large bowls, mixer, blender, wok, toaster oven, all those biggies that are currently living in the cabinet in the living room. Then I can house the blankets and pillows housed in the mule chest in the bedroom in that cabinet and I'll have some drawer space back for myself. It seems like a win, win. Yeah - solved my own problem. Maybe I will even use the last one closest to the back door for those things like a basket of gloves, scarves, another basket for grill supplies, extra boots on the bottom, recycleable bags for shopping. I'm on a roll this morning.

Thank you for a brilliant idea that I can use in my extremely small sewing room and can also use in the utility room. The sink there is set in the worktop and no cupboard underneath. The plumbing takes up a lot of space but 2 carts would slip in either side of the plumbing and give me a lot more storage space out there. I have used up a lot of brain cells trying to sort out my space problem in the ultra small utility room.

It could start something on this side of the pond that divides us.
