The ruler was around $7.00 at the LQS....only need one -- can do a blade from 1" to 8" (I might try the 1" one -- that would be interesting!!!)
Seems like you'd have to finish off the inside circle of the plate in order to use the doilies....??????? I'd think raw edges would show thru. But a CUTE idea!

Thanks for the Tutorial! I copied and pasted it into a Word document so I could print it out and put it in my binder. I've been collecting 1930s fabric to learn how to do one of these gorgeous quilts.
What I loved most about your design was how you used similar colors together instead of random prints. I believe I liked that better than the old fashioned way of just using anything. Also loved the yellow sashing.
