I have a question! After sewing the earflap side together, you say to "turn right side out and stitch the short ends together with 1/4" seam", but in the photo, it doesn't appear that you turned the piece right side out. Does it matter?

:D :D Yes, but it looks like it is still wrong side out is because you have to sew the short ends right sides together and then you take it off the machine and smooth out the ear flaps and the rest of the band and then fold in a half inch and pin it real good making sure it is all smooth and then stitch the band closed and then it will be right side out all the way and you sew the 1/4" around the earflap side and the straight side and then you will be done. so actually you do have it right side out , but part way as it is opened and then the short ends sewn. Good luck, Huggies, Fay.. Hope I made sense.. If there are any othe question, feel free to ask.

Well, thank you!
I have a knitted one that is similar that I wear when I go out to feed, but hubby needs an ear warmer that he can use while he is working.
The beauty of this is that with the narrower part that goes over the foreheard?
With this, he will put on his baseball cap, this ear warmer over the cap, the narrow part will go over his brim ...
this is a great project ... (snowing again tonight - - so much for 10% chance, eh?)
Anyway, this will be good and tomorrow, when we head to Wencatchee, maybe we can find an ElmerFudd hunting cap at Big R so he will have choices and feel a bit more stylish <g> <wave>
These are better than stocking caps, because it will keep your ears warm, all of your ears. With stocking caps, when you roll the brim up to be able to see out, the tip of your ears are exposed.
Thank you again for this tutorial! <wave>
