I thought I had posted to this thread a while back, but can't find it now. When making them this way, most of the outside strips is wasted. Only four of the geese use a little out of those strips. I would leave off the end strips, cut the geese, and then add the triangle "wing" to the four geese that need it. Much less fabric waste.

good idea. You can also add more strips to make more geese at the same time. Or you can change your fabric for each strip to get a scrappy look.

Bold print reminding to press seams open is really useful!

the only way to do that is to start with bias strips at the beginning. I find it easier to sew small bias pieces than long bias strips. Hope that answers your question.

Interesting way of making flying geese. I like using the no waste method, but might have to give this one a try.
