I am missing something...what makes it stand up? doesn't the hoop weigh it down? just not getting it LOL

Its magic. We all thought you need something to make it stand up NOPE. Just does it all by itself.

I need one of these as every Saturday morning in the winter about 10 of us go to one lady's home to sew. I always feel guilty about dropping a few threads on the floor.

Its so easy you can make one in a couple of hours. good luck, I know what you mean, it can get quite messy with all the threads and cuttings.

Thanks for the tute, have enough thread catchers myself but would make a fun table gift for friends at Xmas.
