I saw the one with the squares and thought it was a great idea. Very attractive.
I am glad other people add their own twist or interpretation and come up with more new ideas. Variety is the spice of life and works well in quilting too.

I went to a retreat where we did one of these, we also were instructed to add a 2.5in square at the end or each strip as we were sewing the strips together in the first step. It turned out so cute,I put a border around it and it is waiting to be quilted

I just received the Keepsake Quilting magazine yesterday and on page 52 there is a strip quilt that looks very easy and would use 2.5" strips. It's called Stripilicious. You might be able to find it on their web site. There are tons of things to do with strips!!!

I want to do one in black and white with just a touch of color, and I think the addition of the 2.5 square at the end of each strip will do the trick. I have a bit of Beetles black and white with some color and I am going to try it this coming week.

This looks fun. I learn something new everyday reading the quiltingboard. Thanks so much for everyone who shares.
