Default Log Cabin Quilt as You Go tutorial

This method of making a quilt large or small is faster and easier than conventional quilting. The quilting is done when you finish each block. You then connect blocks in rows until your desired quilt size is done. You add borders as you wish using the same method as finishing the block (layer, sew, sash).

Thank you sounds like a great project since winter has decided to finally come to Montana.

Thank you so much for the great tutorial. I am in the last stages of a queen QAYG quilt with a USMC theme. It started out using a churn dash, but my DH made many suggestions and it morphed into way more than just a churn dash block. Blocks are 18" and if I hadn't done QAYG I shudder to think how I would have quilted it. All I have left to do is bind it and put it in the mail.

I have been wanting to do a log cabin. This just may be the one to do. Now to find some time, does anyone have some they can loan me?
