This is my tutorial for making the Sorting Hat.
It's pretty long and has 59 pics. The PDF is 27 pages.

I've included a sample pic from the tutorial.

This tutorial is also available on the web in html format here:
    http://home.comcast.net/~owlsea/tutorial.html

I hope I've posted this correctly, and some of the tips might prove useful to someone.

    Happy Sewing,

    Sorting Hat

Thanks so much for the excellent tutorial. I have never done any paper piecing before and was just looking into the in's and out's of it. I'm not sure I want to make a sorting hat, but your directions are excellent. Thanks again for making and sharing this tutorial.

A few years ago when both of my girls were in college I made them Harry Potter bags for trick or treating in the dorm. One side had the HP block and the other side had their favorite thing from the books. They loved them and one of the girls best friends also asked for one. Actually wore them out. That was before I really knew how to PP.

The HP hat is so cute. If I did PP I'd try it. Only did enough PP to know it's not my best friend.
