I just love your avitar. I looked it up on the link. Yours has quilting in the center and pieced tree's doesn't. Was that something you added yourself?

After months of stalking this thread, I finally made mine! Its the center of a quilt for my cousin who is graduating this year. So its his school colors. I have a lot more to add to the quilt, but so excited the center came out as well as it did! its 48x48. Sorry it's not the best quality picture, took it with my cell phone, I'll have a better pic when the quilt is done.

So MandalLynn - What size blocks did you use 6 1/2" & 7" blocks??

Close, I did 6.5 and 7.25 to be safe and resquared them.

Here is a pic with the border I did tonight. Next I'm adding French Braids to the top and bottom to add the length to the quilt.

Thanks so much! I love the carpenters wheel/star. Another member on the board sent me the directions for her carpenter's block star that, when finished, is about 3 FEET square!! All my 12" or 18" practice blocks make up the back of the quilt. It was really easy & BIG!!!

Thanks for posting this! I drew my brother in law for next christmas, and I wanted to make him a lap quilt...this will work out great! ps..he is a carpenter!
