Default Mystery Quilt #10 from the Home Town Quilt Show Thread

In case you missed my mini-tut for Quilt #10 on #1 Piecemaker's thread, Home Town Quilt Show, someone suggested I post it again in this section.

Here's a pic of the quilt we're making:

Since I can't see all of the quilt, my sizes of the quilt are estimates only and you would make the number of rows and sizes you would like. The quilt is an easy one to make and the rows can be joined either vertically or horizontally. It consists of two blocks, Block "A" and Block "B". The alternate Block "B" is formed automatically when 2 Block A's are joined on each side of it.

There is no squaring up to be done and very little trim is left over if blocks do need a little bit. I have included the specifications for making the 8.5" block and 7" block, but I have not tested the sizes yet but am sure my calculations are correct.

Here are the rest of the pics and specs. Enjoy making your quilt! n2

CORRECTION: On the 8.5" blocks, the cut sizes for the strips need to be 2" x 3.5" (and NOT 1.75" x 3.5"). Then on Block B, of course, it should read "cut (2) 2" x 3.5" strips, prints. Thanks so much!

I must say that this quilt is quite lovely and could be made with scraps fairly easily. Thanks so much for all the great info. Putting this idea into my scrap quilt file because it is prettier that some that I already have there.

N2 Thank-you so much for sharing your time and talent in providing a tutorial for this elusively named quilt. I do like your name for it and should there never be another name attributed to this pattern I think it's a perfect name :0) Mystery Quilt #10!

Thanks again from a most grateful pattern dependent quilt/piecer person. Say that five times fast <giggles>

Your welcome!! I thought I would give you one more size pattern to make and I'll also post the 'corrected' pattern for the 8.5" block.
