Moonglow 12-25-2011 12:48 AM

Thank you for the tutorial. It's too late for this year but will put it on my 'to do' list for next year.

SamSew 12-25-2011 04:08 AM

I love it, is there a way to translate into English?

BMP 12-25-2011 04:27 AM

Thank You !!!

iwanttosew 12-25-2011 04:42 AM

I just love this idea! Maybe I can do it for next year.

dixiechunk 12-25-2011 05:00 AM

Sure: 1st line 3 squares, 2nd line 6 squares, 3rd line 9 squares, 4th line 9 squares, 5th line 8 squares, 6th line 7 squares, 7th line 5 squares, 8th line 4 squares, 9th line 3 squares, 10th line 1 square.

Cris 12-25-2011 05:12 AM

Heres what I got on a goole translator. (6 cm is 2.362 inches)
55 squares of 6 cm, in different tissues of Christmas. 1 of 6 cm square and 4 triangles 6 cm dimension in tissue brown for the trunk. Some beads, stars, bells to decorate.
On the pattern: 1st Row 3 squares, 2nd Row 6 squares, 3rd Row 9 squares and so on.

Okay I just translated the pattern. The squares would work best at 2.5 inches. Enjoy! Luann

What a cute idea!

chatonne40 12-26-2011 04:43 AM

Wow merci beaucoup! C'est le patron parfait pour me pratiquer avec mon nouvel Accuquilt Go. Carrés et triangles sont la meme grandeur que le 'die' qui vient avec :-) Merci!

Wow Thank you very much! It is the perfect pattern to practice with my new Accuquilt Go. Squares and triangles are the same sizes as the die that came with it :-) Thank you!

Thank you everyone who translated, but, is their a backing on this or sewing instructions?? thank you for sharing the pattern love this tree.

A1penny 12-26-2011 07:36 AM

Very pretty and looks like fun to make. I imagine you could use any size square you chose to work with. I'm saving this and will have one for next Christmas.

Poakie 12-26-2011 11:35 AM

Thank you for the project!

dixiechunk 12-26-2011 12:29 PM

You know, I kept wondering why someone would need a translation because the diagram itself seemed pretty self-explanatory. Then I realized (much later!) what they were probably referring to was the information in the upper left hand corner that I entirely missed! Guess my eyes went to the diagram and my brain erased the other information. Egg on my face...again. My French classes were taken over 40 yrs ago but I have to admit a small amount of pride that I could translate it (even what I originally missed!).

I really like this Christmas Tree. Was having trouble going back & forth between Letia’s tute & dixiechunk’s translation. I sure hope that I am not breaking any rules, but I replace the French words with English. If I broke any rules I sincerely apologize.

Very cute! Thank you for sharing!

A very CUTE Little tree....maybe next year. All the CHRISTMAS fabric is put away ...ready for florals/spring colors, helps get through the PNW rain and gray days of winter.

It looks as if you would piece the tree and the trunk and use the seam allowance on the outer edge to needle turn applique it onto a background.

SEW 12-31-2011 06:37 AM

Tres joli! Merci beau coup!

sik1010 12-31-2011 02:13 PM

Beautiful tree--Thank you for the tutorial!

Val in IN 01-02-2012 06:28 AM

This is really cute! I don't speak or read French, but I can figure out what it says! I think you could use any size squares of fabric, it would just change the size of the tree. Thanks for the tute, I see a patchwork Christmas Tree in my future for next year!

annthreecats 01-04-2012 07:59 AM

Thank you LETIA for the pattern and to everyone who helped to translate this cute pattern to english. I have it marked to keep it for use later in the year. I have to make a decoration for my front door and maybe a wallhanging and a table topper. This is perfect.

EdieClay 01-07-2012 05:14 PM

This is beautiful ... thanks for the tute.
