watterstide for putting together a pictorial tut -seen here -

https://picasaweb.google.com/strut526/CowboyBib?feat=directlink]https://picasaweb.google.com/strut52...eat=directlink[/url]

This is a re post, my original post of my pattern got inadvertently deleted. Thank you again watterstide for making this pictorial tut

Isn't her little Ben model adorable?

Here are the pattern and basic directions

page 2 continued from first page- I quit writting by hand and computerized the rest of the directions.

Depending on the width of your fabric you should get 2 bibs out of one bandanna and 1/4 yard of fabric

Duh on me! I put the thought aside as our babies are girls - but, of course, a pink bandana and purple vest would work, right?

i bought pink one, and there are no girls in my family..! but what a great baby shower gift! you could even tack it on the gift!

i thought it ws going to be too small for ben, but it works fine!
although not shown in the pictures, sew down the bandana onto the vest (the "V" in front) kalady (laura) suggestion.

Thanks so much for reposting this!

Love the bandana bibs. Made them for my 28 & 17 year old when they were babies. They are so vesitable. You can girl them up or make real boyish. You can also use the bandana top & use wash cloths for the bottom. I like the fact they come up around the neck & kept little one cleaner. Can remember how many of these I made for my kids.

That's cute! It's nice to have on hand, when anyone needs a
baby gift. Thanks for the tute.

This is so cute. I made a cowboy bib similar to this many moons ago. One the front I embroidered the words " Real Cowboys Eat Dust". It got a few chuckles at the baby shower.

rusty quilter 03-31-2011 03:27 PM

Absolutely LOVE IT! Will be making one for the next baby boy that comes along...or...maybe a pink bandanna for a baby girl??

dianelmann 03-31-2011 06:24 PM

brightstar_202 04-01-2011 02:26 PM

Thank You for all of the patterns and the tuts

mtnmama 04-02-2011 06:29 AM

HMMM! What about an adult sized one? I use mineral make-up and I seem to get make-up dust all over me. I'll have to get my creative brain waves in gear and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the idea. Maybe snaps in the back.

DeniseP 04-13-2011 01:39 PM

This is so cute. Making one for my granddaughter, Evelyn.

I really liked this pattern. Thanks for sharing. Here's my version.

Thrift shop bandana, recycled upholstery swatch, scrap for star. This is a good "Reuse, recycle" project.

I just "stumbled" upon this while looking for something else. This is WONDERFUL! I have recently bought the pattern "Pony Tales" to make 2 baby quilts. This will go with it so well. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us! Love it!

tuckyquilter 05-25-2011 03:46 PM
