Now you have one center piece and one dark strip piece ready to put the two together.
I like to use a tack or a stitch to hold the seams together instead of pins. It helps to keep it from moving. Make sure your seams are matching when you tack or pin. If they are not then you need to fix it til they are matching before you go on to the next step. Accuracy is important in minis. Also make sure your seams are straight and not pulled to one side. If you need to fix this now is the time. Sew a seam along the first seam to change the angle of it to where it will lay straight and not crooked. 7. Tack or pin your seams together 8. Sew the dark strip onto the center 9. Check to make sure everything is straight 10. Trim to 5/8" |

When you center the triangle section to the center section you can match up the edges and then fold back the fabric til you can see where the white connects between both on the seams. this is what you want. If it is not matching then you need to move it over til it is matching. This will give you points that match after it is sewn.
The second picture here shows where I didn't get it to match and I had to take that out and redo it so it matched right. |
