Electric Quilt 7 - Building a Basic Quilt Tutorial
2 Attachment(s)
I was playing around in my early Mother's Day gift, Electric Quilt 7, and figured I'd do a quick tutorial as well for anyone that might have just gotten the software like me. The attached pic is the quilt I built based on my Scrappy Irish Chain quilt. The PDF shows you how to build this yourself in EQ7 by building your own blocks (not using the block sketchbook).
I hope this is useful to someone! I plan to do more tutorials as well, so if you have the software and want to see something specific, let me know! Cheers! Rachel |
Wonderful and easy to follow. I also have EQ7 but just have not taken the time to learn it. Can't wait for more tutorials.

Me, too - I just got mine a couple months ago and haven't learned it yet. This will be very helpful and makes sense. Thank you.

DH got it for me but I haven't managed to learn how to use it yet, thanks for the tutorial.

I'm not sure this is the same system, but Rhonda did a series for EQ lessons. You might want to go to the archives and check hers out to see if they are helpful for you.

Love your tutorial. Have had EQ for several years but not using it much (much as I'd like to) but the way you have this
written came so easy to me. Keep 'em coming. Thanks. Ande |
Thank you. Very clear.

Thanks ladies! I had fun making this one, I will be sure to write more as I use it more!
Cheers! Rachel |
athenagwis, thank you so much for taking the time to write this lesson. I just printed it out. I have owned EQ7 since it came out and have not learned how to use it. I do not have a laptop so LQS classes are out. Kind of hard to carry my computer and hard drive to any class! Will give this a try. Oh by the way, I live in New England also.
Thanks again, Pauline |
I have only version 6, havent used it just looked at the programs and played alittle. Now I really want to get into making quilts. I have more time in the summer, I work so hard and very little time to play with my sewing. I hope I can I hope I can, lol. I love this Board! Hi everyone!!!!!!!

I hope to get EQ7 next month. Got an accuquilt GO last month to make fast quilts for Project Linus and have made an apple core quilt in a week. For a certain type of project the Accuquilt GO has been a pleasant surprise to me. Never thought I would use one, but for all the scraps and smaller pieces it is wonderful!

Lessosn very clear. Have you done any more?
