Folded Wreath Christmas Ornament

8 Attachment(s)
Okay here it is. I made one of these for the Christmas Ornament Swap this year and had many requests for the directions. I decided to make a tutorial so everyone could have them. Hope I made it easy enough to follow and enjoy.

Materials needed:

16-20 4 inche squares depending on how full your want the wreath. A minimum of 8 is needed for each side.
2 buttons or other embelishment of your choice for center
2 Cardboard circles approximately 3-4 inches around
Something to make loop to hang ornament
Glue fun and extra sticks
Iron

Step 1. Start by folding square in half on the diaganol to form a triangle.

Step 2. Now fold each outside point up to meet with the top point. This should once again give you a square.

Step 3. Now fold the outside raw edges in to meet the center line. This should give you something that resembles a tiny kite.

Step 4. Start glueing all the now folded pieces to the cardboard circle until you have a full wreath. repeat with second cardboard circle and remaining pieces. You should now have two full wreaths.

Step 5. turn over one of the completed wreths and glue the loop to it. Now glue the other completed wreath onto this with the wrong sides together. You should now have a double sided wreath. Continue by glueing the buttons or other embelishments to the center of the wreath. You know have a completed ornament. Enjoy your new ornament.

Thanks for this tutorial. I think I will make these for my Bee friends. It looks like something that could go together quickly and is quite beautiful.
