Wow thanks...this will help with quilting on my longarm...I've tried some free hand, but ripped it out, got out a pantograph...going to try this on the current 60th birthday quilt i'm working on....

AWESOME!! This method seems very dooable. I always had a hard time doing stipping and gave up on it....I'm going to try this...it does make sense!! Thanks for sharing!!

Yes, I am one of those folks that does NOT want to break the rules and cross the line. Your method seems to allow for this and permit me to meander into those spaces where I would NOT have ventured before. Thank you for sharing your "out of the box" method.

Thank you for the visual! :-)

Thanks so much - this is soooo helpful! Needed it too - ready to quilt a baby quilt! Thanks again!

I like your idea better. It makes so much sense! I too do not like the 'row' method. I am going to try out your meandering ways to see if this is what I need to use when teaching my nieces stippling. Thanks for sharing. Don't you love those 'light bulb moments'?

I just checked out your scrappy quilt. I really like the simplicity of it. I like the wide open spaces of the stippling vs. the tight designs. I think the quilts remain softer because of it.

I can hardly wait to try your idea. It makes so much sense to me and perhaps my meandering will be less jerky. I find making smooth turns difficult and end up with lots of sharp points. Thank you.

Thanks so much, as I had the same problems as you mentioned...this definitely helps my brain, too...with your great idea, and Leah's knowledge, maybe I can change some of my ufos to earthlings...lol..
