I thought I posted this as a separate thread earlier today, but I goofed and put it in the tutorial itself. Sorry about that. Here's a PDF with both parts of the tutorial combined.

Thank you so much for doing this. Now I just need to get on the phone & get the measurements for son in law's chair, as it's much larger & bulkier than our 2 recliners. I also have a loveseat that is actually 2 recliners, so I may be able to adapt this to that also, as both seats have to be treated seperately as they both recline. May take me a year to get all done.

Wow thank you very much! My chair really need this :-)

Thank you so much for your tutorial. Just the way I like them - lots of pics, simple to follow information.
You are very generous with your time & information. |
Great job on the tutorial! Can't wait to make the slipcover! Thank you so very much!!!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I "inherited" an older recliner and besides not liking its fabric, there are a few stains and worn spots. This slipcover will be perfect, as soon as I find time and fabric I like!
Another thing: your instructions are so clear! It's such a pleasure to find a project that doesn't need to be "interpreted!" Thanks again! Jory |
Thanks for the tutorial, I need to make some covers for my recliners.
|
Thank you Anita! I really appreciate the tutorial. I can't wait to get started. Unfortunately it will have to wait a bit 'til I get UFO's done.

Thank you so much for this PDF! I really, really appreciate the tutorial.

Thanks for this. I have an ancient recliner that my parents bought new in 1947. It is so old it doesn't even have a handle to go back, you just lean heavily on the back, and back you go. My husband and I had it recovered in 1980, and now it needs it again, plus we have one which we got off Craigs list. Very comfortable, but someone tried to vacuum it, and got 2 or 3 small holes (fingernail size) in the seat, so this will cover that nicely. Thanks loads.

Thank you sew much for sharing this tutorial. Lots of ideas swirling in my head...

Thanks for the information. I am so tired of throwing a blanket on the recliner.

Thank you for the clear and readable instructions. The pictures really helped. Thank you.

Thank you for this tutorial. I recently got a new lift chair and the color is lighter than I really wanted. This should work well to keep it clean but I'm thinking of trying your idea but with polar fleece. I am unable to handle quilting large pieces like the back and seat piece but thik your measurements will help me get a good fit.

Recliner slipcover
Thank you so much for the detailed instructions. I can now cover my husband's old recliner. He loves that old chair and refuses to part with it.

Thanks very much for this wonderful tutorial - it is something i have tried and given up on a couple of times. i would like to try again and with your instructions, it will be perfect. :)

Thanks so much. Just the other day I thought that DH's recliner could use a face lift and your tutorial fits the bill.
|
Thank you so much for re-opening this! I guess I wasn't ready the first time, but have looked thru your .pdf and plan to make one!

Never thought of this idea. Last recliner we bought was leather because my husband has allergies and thought leather would be better. Unfortunately, he really doesn't like leather because it gets so cold ... so he's always throwing a blanket over the chair. This would be perfect ... warm and washable.
Great idea. Thank you for the tutorial! |
I wonder if I could make car seat covers this way?
