This makes so much sense! I'm going to start doing my blocks one or the other of these ways. Question - do you do an easy Flying Geese block?

I use HSTs for flying geese. I have a strip method to make the HSTs that I think makes them easy to do.

I just put 2 hsts together and sew them for a flying geese unit.
