Hi All!
I'm new to the tute section, well, at leat for contibuting. Please bear with me as we see if this works out. I'll gladly clarify if you have any questions. :D The following tutorial is for squares made of selvages using a foundation piecing approach. Not to worry if you've not foundation pieced before, neither have I officially! Have you been saving selvages but just aren't sure what to do with them? This is the tute for you!! What do you need? Just selvages, your machine, some light colored scraps for the base, and some play time. ENJOY! RETRO |
nicely done!

Thank-you, I think it would be fun to do at a guild meeting.

I just found out about "selvage fun" a couple months ago. This is a good tute...........Thanks and happy selvaging. (I now have friends saving for me!)

So glad you're having fun with this project. I've heard from a couple of quilters that they'll be introducing this to their guilds. "S.O.S." Save Our Selvages! I'm thrilled to see so many people will be putting their selvages to good use or passing them along to someone who will.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and happy quilting! Blessed are the piecemakers, RETRO |
There is a wonderful blog by Karen Griska (the author of Selvage Quilts). It's http://selvageblog.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default. I am not affiliated.............I did make a large tote using her method and it is really a conversation piece.....with "sewing people" only. I think non-sewers think it's weird....LOL! Their loss!!!
