Happy dancer here..
As I've got several blocks ready for qayg, and your tutorial has shown me exactly what I needed to know.
A BIG thank you!!

I have been looking for a way to do exactly this method! Like you, I've been watching every QAYG video ... read every tutorial, and it just wasn't quite what I wanted. You have saved the day! Now I can finally get past the little bit that I started, on my granddaughter's quilt.
This is only the second quilt that I am attempting. My first one was a baby quilt, I was so intimidated that by the time I finished it, it was too small for the child. So she uses it for her dolls now ... lol ...
Thank you so much, you have no idea how happy you've made me!

What kind of glue do you use? Won't it wash out when the quilt is washed? The pictures really helped me understand.
Thanks

And in case anyone is wondering how to get that 1/4" turn-under even, without scorching your fingers, the method is simple. Take two strips and machine-baste together with a 1/4" seam, leaving long tails of thread. Press that seam open. Remove basting.
