DawnMarie, I have seen patterns where the sweatshirt is lined, but don't recall if the sweatshirt pieces were used as the lining pattern or if a separate one was provided. That's what I was told to do if jacket is to be lined. Didn't think about putting that in this tute only because I didn't line the jacket.
Just take the pieces, once apart, then trace around for pattern. Sew the lining fabric on first, THEN, do the front part. The lining will be held down by the "quilting". OR, you could just baste the lining in after all pieces are done before you sew it back together.

Has anyone completed one of the quilted sweatshirts? I just started cutting out the strips last night, have not done the sweatshirt cutting yet. I am anxious to see others jackets.

Thanks for the ez sounding tute, I have a lot of sweats that have stains. I hate to throw them out as some of them are quite new but seems like I always drip coffee or something on a white or light color one the first time I wear it. They should work great for this.

Lovely in the blues. I am collecting my fat quarters and pieces I have left over that are big enough, as I really want to make one of these.
