    I love making this star block.... big and little ones.... it's very easy and quick...... would love to see other ones.... please post some more pics of these....... :-)

    Anyone have some tips for beginner quilting of this wonderful Big Star. I'm semi good at SID but TERRIBLE at FMG on my Janome 6600, thanks in advance for any help.

    I love this star block because you can make it any size. I made the big blocks for my avatar quilt with 10" squares, then I did the small star blocks with 5" square blocks. I pieced small stars on the back of this quilt. It was fun to put together. I'm planning to make a red, white, and blue star to use as a patriotic front door decoration for the patriotic holidays.

    Isn't there a "you tube" video on making the "Carpenter Star". Am thinking you need 3 fabrics (total of 6 squares
    or 2 of each fabric). This makes a quick, large block.
