I must have missed the 'boxing the corners' idea. Thanks for mentioning it. Just one of those "why didn't I think of that' things! :-)

My sister-in-law and I teach several days of mini-quilt classes at a major juried fair here in WV in the summer....this is one of the classes I taught this past summer. I had rank beginners, children....and we even hand-sewed them and they turned out beautifully. I purchased bulk packets of tissues so they could use their tissue holder right away. At home I sew them on the machine and turn out ten at a time. I layer at least 4 fat quarters and make the 2 cuts so I have a good mix of fabrics. This tute was bookmarked early on...I knew it was a winner!

Wow! It is the easiest tissue holder I have ever seen. Thanks!

Somewhere is a pattern for a tissue cover that uses 5 pieces of fabric. I though that sounded too hard when I first heard it. But it's almost as easy as this one and a fun change of pace after making over 300 of these.

NOW, I'm using the same method to make mug rugs. I'm going to see what comes up if I google 5 piece tissue holder.

This site has one of the 5 piece tissue covers. Patterns too. They are a lot faster than they sound like they'd be.

These are soooo easy. I've made many, many & tried to use up my stash of lace, ribbon, trim, etc. to ladies I attend church with. Usually send them a postcard but am now sending them a postcard + 1 of these.
~ 1st pic using main piece 5.5" x 6.5"
~ 2nd pic using main piece & lining same - 5.5" x 7.5".

That blog is by invitation only. Any public link? I've not had much success with the two piece one (bulges!) and would like to try the five piece. Thank you.

I'm not a member of that blog and had the instructions pop up without any trouble. I can't recopy it here because it's against board policies.

Try again. It's actually pretty simple.
