    So glad this got bumped up so I could see it - Deb you are so inspiring! I have questions!

    - Could you use another type of soft cording other than yarn?

    - This is basically couching then yes? But using a satin stitch instead of a zig zag?

    I love it! I'm definitely trying this one!

    I'm doing a stained glass butterfly applique quilt. It uses a black background for the leading.

    I really want the effect of light pouring through a window but I have a hard time visualizing how fabrics will look in a finished product.

    Does this look like a good fabric for the butterfly wings?

    WOW, never thought of that. I have a "How to make stained glass" book, that I had been tryng to sell forever. Now I think I will just keep it and use the patterns...LOL
