Here is an easy tute I did a while back for turning a Thrifted Tee into a shopping tote...

when sewing up the bottom add a one or two inch pleat to the seam. This is an inch and a half pleat.

the pleat gives you an automatice squared off bottom to the bag, and it is a lot less work than the standard way to box a hem

initial cutting layout for Tee

cut neckline a bit deeper to give a generous operning

do a narrow rolled hem around neck and sleeve openings

This is an easy (but a bit stretchy) shopping tote, great for the beach or pool. It will hold lots of wet things and is easy to wash and dry if it gets dirty. A fun way to save a favorite Tee.

Nice tute. I used to make them from tank tops. All I had to do was stitch the bottom together.
