Does anyone know where I can find free veggie and fruit patterns - fairly large, if possible.
Thanks a bunch.

If you would like to applique, do a Google search for coloring pages. They are usually simple and great for applique.

First - I put this in the wrong place, I think.
Second - sorry, didn't say that I wanted them that you stuff and use as pin cushions or larger.

http://www.heleenpinkster.nl/English/index.htm This is the place! Check out the Block of the Month from last year. She did all kinds of fruits & veggies, and they're all paper-pieced! (To me, that means they're easy to put together and be accurate!)

If you are going to be doing applique you can find a pic and get it enlarged.

Here is a pattern for a pear:

I think Simplicity and McCalls both have patterns for fruit that could be used for pincushions.

Hi! These veggies(Heleen Pickster's) are gorgeous but I've never really understood paper piecing. Tried but I spent more time trying to figure out which side the paper faced and which side for the fabric. Live to far from a quilt shop to go to classes, so I was working on my own. That's when I love in with patchwork and sometimes applique! Chris

Check out your local library in the quilting or sewing section. I find many good patterns & take them home & make copies. This is as free as you can get now adays.
