Default Question about Singer Serial Numbers

There's a machine on Goodwill. I was trying to figure out the model number, so I looked up the serial number. Either I'm reading the serial number incorrectly, or the database is really messed up. I'm reading this as AS443360. The ISMACS site says it's a 756, made in 1969. Am I reading the number incorrectly? It's clearly not a 756.

Did you check using A5 as the beginning of the serial number? Hard to tell if it's an S or a 5 so I would check both.

According to the auction the number is AB443360 which according to ISMACS is as miriam said a 66 born in 1927. Miriam also makes a good point .... missing a lot of bits and pieces.

Thanks for the help. I'm working on identifying machines. That one, of course, did not show the front, so I tried the SN route. Apparently, I should try the "read" route.
Thanks,
bk
