Default $25 New Ideal "D"

This machine is not in my time frame but for $25 I just could not say no...

I cleaned the dirt off, a quick wipe down with oil, that's it.

The decals are lovely! May I recomend Mother's Chrome Polish (available in the Auto Dept. at Walmart) to shine up the chrome parts. She's a real beauty!

I have in fact used Mother polish before, good stuff.

In this case I think it is a bit far gone for cleaner. (but I may do a test bit...hmmmm)

I currently plan to begin by taking them off, soft wirewheeling the rust, and then polishing them on my bench buffer.

it's funny how these start looking so "modern" when you spent the last few weeks on 1870's machines.

Your machine is really pretty. the decals are so nice. I understand why you couldn't say no. Their innards look bare don't they?
