Default 10 bucks and a lovely green!!

At my favorite thrift shop today!! Found this vintage lovely for 10 dollars. Love the two tone green. It's a Dressmaker 960 vintage Japanese machine. Wiring looked ok, need to check that closer, it had the bobbin case, wheel was not frozen, moves nicely. I looked at the underside no dead critters, lol I was nervous!!! I'm happy to add this to my collection. Wish it had the manual. Want to try to clean it up myself.

I'm reading everything I can find here about the care of vintage machines just wanted to tell you all thank you for sharing your wisdom!

If nothing else worth every penny for a great display. Hope you find the manual though. Congrats!

My very first machine was a Dressmaker (blue) from the 60s. It weighed about 100,000 pounds. We flew from Michigan to Boston and took it with us to bring to our daughter who was doing an internship out there. She brought it home, used it for a long time. Then she donated it and they flew it to another country. I often wonder what that machine is up to today.

Lol SSK this machine is very heavy!! I will not be taking it to workshops!! I almost fell on the steps, the weight almost tipped me over.

Just love these retro vintage machines. Such cool design and the colors are just great too. Nice buy for $10.00.

You saved its life. It will sew.
