Default 185J = green

Case had not been taken care of--worked on it - primed and wound up covering with contact paper--looks much better-
Machine sews really well--it is very similar to featherweights- think it is 3/4 size - runs very quiet

Except it weighs like 3 times what a Featherweight does. It's a heavy beast! I've had mine for quite a while and it doesn't get out much to play anymore.

Yeah, there's a reason my Japanese Singer-clone is nicknamed "The Hulk."
It's no lightweight!

I have the 185K, same green monster. I wonder what the difference is between the "J" and "K" versions? I know I "smacked" some seller on ebay recently who tried to tell me that these were in fact THE featherweight that everyone is seeking, and I didn't know what I was talking about. He sold one of these advertised as such. I sure hope the buyer isn't disappointed when she sees it.

OK Ashboro, have you been looking into my sewing room? I have this machine too and she is a peach. Mine came in a cabinet for $15.00 at our Salvation Army. These little vintage machines are just so cute and easy to sew on.
