2 older consews which to repair ?

Thank you CD, between that and the parts manual I have a pretty good idea of what I need to get.
One last question, is it worth it ? I am seeing 225's for sale priced at about $400-700. Figuring I need to add about 100 bucks shipping on top of that ( a home machine costs me about 50 shipping ) plus the fact that there are really not many places up here that ever offer them used. ( trust me I have been looking for the last 5 years and not come across a "deal" yet )
Personally I think if I go as high as $300 on parts I have not gotten hurt to bad ( going to discount the purchase price since it was like 5 years ago and they have just been gathering dust ) considering it will basically be replacing all of the common wear items and they will essentially be refurbed ( minus paint )

My answer would be “it depends”.
I would take a close look at what’s left, and try to determine why they were cannibalized. Was it just a matter of convenience (1 machine sacrificed to save others), or were they no longer viable for use (bent shaft or other major structural damage).
Your call.

thank you Sewred, I think I know all I need to know about the machines now. I just have to decide either to DO it and start ordering parts, or decide not to fix it and get it out of my mind.

here is some quick and dirty pictures of the machines in question, mostly of the 225 because I did not lift the other out,
both are missing all of the needle bar rocking linkage.. the 225 seems to have the hook and case so that is something.
