Tension check spring Kenmore 158.541 Help Please
Hello,
I got a new toy for Christmas that needs some work. It is a Kenmore 158.541. I ordered a tension spring from sears parts but it is discontinued. I have been looking online without any luck. What should I try next? Is there a comparable one I can modify?
All help would be appreciated. Happy New Year.

Sew-Classic has some top tension check springs { http://www.shop.sew-classic.com/Tension-Parts_c29.htm }.
I don't know if any that are listed will work on your machine, but a quick email to them should answer that question.
