Rodney, again, thank you! I hope you'll post some pictures so we can see the squares better. Even enlarging it, I think I saw one of mine... it's hard to tell. My family is both amused and not surprised that my two Dobermans each sent a square.
Ashlea has a dog in training to be her service dog. Savannah will love it. Caleb says she is a border collie mix - she was in a doggie swap between Florida and Georgia. Florida had too many little dogs and Georgia had too many big ones so they swapped. SSSOOOO they named her Savannah. She has bonded well with Ashlea and Caleb.

All right! You've done a fantastic job of this Rodney.

BTW, I have a gift for Olivia.

Happy anniversary to you and Caleb as well!
I've pretty much blown every deadline involved with this quilt. Overall though I'm pleased with the progress and how it's looking. It will get done.
Rodney
Rodney, don't beat yourself up about the deadline initially set. At the beginning you had no idea that there would be such participation. So with your hard work and the work of all of your helpers, it was done in good time.

They threw a party for Ashlea when she went back to work. She got sent home early & she was pretty tired. They have been giving her somewhat light duty, too.

Miriam, I believe that is to be expected! I know I had a period of time when I got really tired after my back surgery -- which is nothing compared to Ashlea's problem. It's going to take time to get her strength and endurance built up -- I am so happy she's doing so well. She'll continue to be in my prayers!

Another issue is learning to have faith in your own body and mind again. Once you have an issue like this it is hard not to overreact to everything that "might be something". When we are young we feel immortal and invincible, and events like these can really shake one self confidence.

Time will heal mind and body given a chance and a little faith.

Speaking from experience when you go through something like Ashlea has EVERYTHING is cause for concern for a while. The fact that Ashlea is working again and has seen that she can still do it has to be a tremendous boost to her.

I'm almost 1/2 way done with hand sewing the binding (I'm slow). I'll take plenty of pictures when I'm done but I'm not posting them until Ashlea receives the quilt. There has to be some surprises. Right now I plan to ship it out on Saturday.

Rodney...wish there was a "like" button on here. It will be great for Ashlea to be surprised. You have made us all proud. You go guy.
