She is looking very pretty and so lucky the light cover fix was an easy one and you have a pristine cover. Enjoy.

I've got 7 clones and of those three have been cranky. I think they were abused in their formative years.

You got a beautiful machine there.

Nice find!!
Alcohol will take off dried masking tape. You have to be careful around paint but it is good on windows and on some bases where it was put on as a seam guide.

On the old black Singers I soak tape with oil. It usually comes off fairly quickly. Alcohol dissolves the shellac covering the paint and decals so I don't use it there. On more modern machines I've used alcohol with good results too.
