Wow, that's the oldest one I've seen by far! Very cool!

I had to mention that I noticed the little train toy in the grass in the second to last picture. That's from Sonic, huh? I've got three of them floating around in my car. :) I'm the queen of noticing odd things that aren't part of the subject of pictures. :)

    Rachelcb80,

Yep, it is from Sonic! Our favorite place. LOL!

I am so thrilled with my new baby!!! I can't believe I only paid $40 for her. She already holds a special place in my heart! I told the person I bought her from that she will now have a forever home.

WOW!! Very impressive, I have never seen one like that before. Beautiful. Anxious to hear if you are able to find out more of her history.

Just went on web search -- check out www.sewalot.com
Very interesting. If I read the numbers correctly, your machine is from 1870.

I would think that any cabinet/furniture repair shop could fix the leaf, really not a big issue. That would be the easiest part to fix, I am sure.

    A great machine, have fun.

That is just a fantastic machine. Congratulations, i look forward to any history you find out. I am learning so much on this site. Hopefully everyone should be encouraged that great finds are out there. Just be patient and keep your eyes open.

Maybe keep a pair of coveralls in the car for those unexpected dumpster dives too! (Thats for you Billy ;-) )
