Default Another One For My Collection

I know I said I wasn't going to be buying any more sewing machines but this one was just too good to pass up. I guess I just shouldn't be trolling CL. I have a blue Sew-Mor but it is different from this one. This one has a pretty faceplate and has very few dings etc on the machine or it's base. The lady had it listed for $15 but when she plugged it in it sparked and tripped her circuit braker or she asked if we would just take it off her hands. She was moving and needed to get rid of it. When we saw it, my husband said we will give you $5 for it. The case is in very good shape and it doesn't appear that the machine was used very often. With the tension located on the back part of the face plate I think it might be a 15 clone but not sure. On top of the machine are the words, Precision Deluxe and on the medallion it says Precision Deluxe Model 202 Made In Japan. Anyway, I think it is a very pretty machine and the price was right. Does anyone know if it is a 15 clone.

It's very pretty. I certainly would have been tempted.

Yes, it is a 15 Clone. I have two SEWMOR 202's, one blue, one black. Which wire is the blue one, the light or the motor? The motor can be rewired, the light maybe. If the light housing is glued together you'll have to replace it. If it's screwed or clipped together it can be rewired. These are great machines, my blue one is a very quite smooth sewing machine. The blue wire is the wire for the light. Thanks Joe for the info. DH is working on it as I type.

Ooh, pretty! And what a deal!

I love turquoise machines. This one looks really glossy and new! I hope she gets some good playtime with you.
