Color me jealous. This is a really gorgeous machine, and not one I see very often.
As I stated before, be very careful when you are using the lift on the machine. It will come up very fast. We were trying to figure out how this thing worked on one of the machines from the museum storage and it came up so fast and unexpectedly that the spool pin jabbed Alex in the chest and left her a nasty little injury. Do NOT lean over the machine when raising it up!

She came home with me!!!!
Beautiful and amazing condition!! Serial number dates to 1886. She is my first treadle. I knew I was waiting for the right one, when I saw it I knew. My husband really loves it too. He is a woodworker and thinks the cabinet is fabulous. He thinks it is built of Sweet Gum with burl veneer panels. Unfortunately, I think someone added a coat of varnish to the cabinet but did it well. I love the original cabinet pulls that say "Singer". I'll need a new belt and will have to do some very gently cleaning of the machine. But it moves freely, no rust, mostly good decals except for the front of the bed.
I will post pictures soon!
