Does anyone know if this bolt is some kind of elusive standard or is it one of Singer's B--------d threads? My brother built the box and I sanded and painted. We want to design a replacement for the bolt that holds the machines to the plastic cases. You know, those icky green plastic boxes the 185s come in that most often have broken pylons and crumbling cushions? We have the original, we are looking for a longer one.

Or does anyone have ideas of how to make a hold down that goes on the top of the box?
