Default BORLETTI 1102 Super De Luxe Automatic

I have just come across a Borletti 1102 machine, in its case, including all the wheels, tools, bobbins, replacement attachments, instructions, guarantee and even the bill of sale dating back to 1963!

I have absolutely no idea what to do with this, would be grateful of any info. suggestions.

Thanks
Colin

Colin,

Wellllllllll, first of all welcome to the QB forum.

Second, had I come across it, I would clean it, oil and grease ( if needed ) it and use it. I know nothing about that brand but it's most likely a Japanese made badged machine. There are a gazillion of them out there. Most are very good machines.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think it is Japanese, but have no clue, here is a picture of the original BoS I found with the machine

From a quick search, they were made by White.

I believe Borlettis were (are?) made in Italy.

Looks Italian to me.

I would buy it and use it, if it worked and the price was reasonable.

It's an Italian made machine and I'd for sure arm wrestle you for it!

There is a Yahoo group for Borletti sewing machines. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/borlettivigorelli/

If you can get it cheap enough, go for it. I especially like that the machine comes with it's history.
