Brown Finish Singer?? Help me ID?
This machine is listed on our local Craigslist, but I cannot ID it. Can someone help?

It is a 66 that has been repainted, maybe by Singer during WWII when machines were not being made. They would freshen up the trade ins or repo's. You can see the Japanning under the paint where there are chips.

Mitch's mom is correct. A 66-1 that's been referbed and painted. I have two like that. The first a 66-1 and the second is a 66-18.
I wouldn't mind having it it my collection but not at the asking price.
Ihayes, if you don't mind I'm gonna work it over a bit in a photo program and post it in my Crinkle machine thread.
