Ok, So I got a ton of foot controllers for free today (see the other thread) and one of the controllers was a brand new electronic controller. My electronic controller on my FW has a weak spring and so sometimes doesn't shut off current. I thought I'd just swap these two pedals and keep the same wiring which is fine. Alas, I don't think it's to be. I'm attaching pics, is it doable?

To do it right remove board and unsolder old cords if unusable. Resolder new cords and reinstall board. I'm assuming the wires are soldered to the bottom side of the board.

Alternate method would be to spice, solder, and wrap the old and new cords inside the controller but this is not as good a repair as first method.

Final method would be to get a new electronic controller from online sewing supply

What Jon said. De-solder, re-solder. If you've never done it, I believe it's possible to still buy a kit at Radio Shack with the basics in it, as well as modest instructions. I believe the one for $16.99 will do what you need. And you'll have it for other repair jobs. Or maybe borrow one. You need at least 25 watts, 40 is better, and you can dial it down with one of your other foot pedal, line cord assemblies, by plugging it into the motor receptacle and controlling the heat with the foot pedal. See, uses for that stuff!
